FEI is devoted to encouraging environments and actions that display dignity, respect, fairness, peace, and equality. It is through this commitment to personal and professional conduct that our members will continue to challenge their peers and our organization to rise to a higher standard.

Join us for this session as we feature two organizations that are providing direct assistance through mentorship and activities that support minority businesses and students.  Learn more about them, how they are making a difference, and how you can get involved.

Minority Business Growth Alliance is a Twin Cities-based nonprofit that works to build greater understanding between communities and cultures through pro bono consulting and services that help minority-owned businesses grow their capabilities. Mary Rapaport, Founder, and Chief Inspirer, and Damian Hanft, Board Member, will talk about the organization’s mission to connect professionals between racial and cultural communities, and some of the learning and insights they have gained since launching their program in 2020.

We will also hear from the National Association of Black Accountants which FEI has partnered with since last year for a national mentorship initiative connecting African American students with mentors from FEI members / FEI Strategic Partners.  Join Tami Jenkins, Vice President of the MN Chapter and Herschel Frierson, National Chairman of the National Association of Black Accountants as they share what is happening locally and nationally with NABA and how you can get involved in the FEI/NABA mentorship program. Guest will include an FEI member and mentor for a NABA student from the mentorship initiative, Mark Schwirtz, CFO of Churchill Companies, to share his experience and insights of mentoring.
